Viking Made Forge
Where Heritage Meets Precision
Hand-forged blades built to last generations
Every blade that emerges from Viking Made Forge represents a convergence of ancient tradition and modern engineering. With 25 years of experience as a professional engineer in the world’s most extreme environments—from Antarctica to the Arctic—I bring a unique perspective to the timeless craft of bladesmithing.
Each knife is individually hand-forged at the anvil, drawing from archaeological sources and training with master smiths to create authentic, functional tools designed for daily use and generational inheritance.

The Forge Master
Jason C. Weale brings a unique blend of artistic passion and engineering precision to every blade. Beginning his journey at age 12 under the tutelage of his uncle, a kinetic sculptor, Jason’s path led through decades of polar engineering before returning to the forge.
Today, every Viking Made Forge blade benefits from this rare combination of metallurgical knowledge, extreme environment experience, and deep respect for historical bladesmithing traditions.

Materials & Methods
Each blade represents mastery of multiple disciplines: Damascus pattern welding, traditional Oroshigane smelting, stainless san mai construction, and copper mai techniques. All steel is designed and forged in-house, with every blade receiving individual heat treatment optimized for its intended use.
Handle materials are carefully selected from sustainable sources, with many pieces featuring locally sourced woods from New Hampshire’s forests. Each fitting is handcrafted to complement the blade’s character.
This commitment to complete in-house production—from raw steel to finished blade—ensures absolute quality control and allows each knife to be truly unique.
The Forging Process
